Is Napolean Sun God?

In his book "Curious Myths of the Middle Age", S. Baring-Gould complained that his German colleagues saw every hero in legends or myths as a representation of the sun, and every daemon, winter (it was written in 1894 century, a couple decades later, he would complain that his American colleagues, under the influence of Freud, see everything as a symbol of sex). He demonstrated how easy it is to asssociate anything, such as the life of Napoleon Bonaparte, with sun myth. It is so funny that I should list his main arguments here.

1. The name. Napoleon is spelled as Neapoleon in many monuments dedicated to him. Neapoleon = ne + apoleon. "ne" is an article in Greek while "apoleon" is just a French variation of Apollo, the god of sun. So, Napoleon = the Sun.
2. Napoleon was born in Corsica, an island of Mediterranean Sea. Apollo was born in Delos, an island in the sea.
3. Apollo was originally an Egyptian deity. Many of the fabulous deeds and legends of Napoleon occurred in Egypt (yeah, who can forget the Battle of Pyramid and the Rosetta stone).
4. The mother of Napoleon was Letitia, means the dawn of the day. Of course the mother of the Sun should be dawn.
5, Apollo's mother was Leto. It is a now unused form of laetor. The name Letitia was derived from laetor (paragraphs of linguistics argument skipped). The identify of Napoleon's mother with Greek Leto is established definitely.
6. Napoleon had three sisters, just like Apollo had the three Graces.
7. Napoleon had four brothers. It is impossible not to discern the anthropomorphosis of the four seasons (pages of linguistics arguments and comparisons between history and seasonal symbols skipped).
8. Napoleon had two wives, just like Apollo.
9. Napoleon is said to have released France from the devastating scourge, popularly called the revolution. Who cannot see that it is just Gallic version of Greek legend of Apollo releasing Hella from Python (the monster, not the computer language). The very name "revolution" was derived from Latin "revolvo" is indicative of the coils of a serpent like the Python.
10. Napoleon had 12 active Marshals leading his armies. Who cannot see that they are the signs of Zodiac, marching under the order of the Sun.
11. The sun rises in the East and sets in the Western sea. Napolean came from a Mediterranean island south east of France and ended his life in Atlantic island west of France.

So, what did I get besides a good laugh and a couple hours of joyful reading? Notice that Baring-Gould used the same logic and the same technique that is still used in literature and narrative analysis today. He applied the best linguistic tool that was available in his time. Yet, he can powerfully argued that Napoleon, a person was born just 65 years before him (about the same age difference between I and Ronald Regan or 蔣經國), is just a mythological figure. While his purpose is to make fun of his German colleagues, his demonstration can be quite devastating to his profession. That is, for any literature or narrative analysis, we should just take it with a grain of salt.
